Issue #025 · Tuesday, October 6, 2026 · 4 min read · By Alex Tiratsuyan

Twelve council items just went “Agenda Ready.” Decision night is Oct 13.

Tuesday. Between yesterday morning’s pull and this morning’s, all twelve matters filed at the Sept 29 stated meeting flipped from “Referred” to “Agenda Ready — Items for Consideration” — the queue for the council’s Oct 13, 7 PM meeting. The stack: six October heritage and awareness declarations, the bullying-prevention and NICU resolutions, the IDA agreement, and the South Broadway & Caryl Ave encroachment ordinance. Also today: the second property-tax installment is due, and it’s World Cerebral Palsy Day in a resolution that won’t be voted until a week after the day it names. Saturday: DV 5K at Tibbetts Brook.

The Sept 29 dozen moves: all twelve now “Agenda Ready”

Queued for Oct 13 — not passed verified

This morning’s pull of the city’s legislation file shows all twelve matters filed at the Sept 29 stated meeting — TMP-0834 through TMP-0845 — moved from “Referred” to “Agenda Ready — Items for Consideration.” The file dates the transition Sept 29 — but Legistar’s own last-modified stamps on the deep-checked matters read Oct 5, 10:02 AM EDT: the flip landed in the public record midday yesterday, between our morning pull (all twelve still “Referred” at 7 AM Oct 5) and this morning’s. Ten are tagged for Council; two for Administration. “Agenda Ready” means queued for consideration — none of the twelve has an adoption vote on record yet. The council’s next stated meeting: Tuesday, Oct 13, 7 PM, with a second stated meeting Oct 27.

What’s in the queue, from the record: October 2026 declared Disability Employment Awareness Month (TMP-0835), LGBTQ+ History Month (TMP-0836), Italian American Heritage Month (TMP-0837), Polish American Heritage Month (TMP-0839), Breast Cancer Awareness Month (TMP-0841), and National Bullying Prevention Month with October 21 as “Unity Day” (TMP-0840), plus Fire Prevention Month and Fire Prevention Week Oct 4–10 (TMP-0843), NICU Awareness Month (TMP-0834), National Custodian Appreciation Day Oct 2 (TMP-0844), and World Cerebral Palsy Day Oct 6 (TMP-0838). The two Administration items: the inter-municipal agreement with the Yonkers IDA for employment-related assistance, marked “positive fiscal impact” (TMP-0842), and the special ordinance authorizing an encroachment in the right-of-way on South Broadway and Caryl Avenue (TMP-0845).

Today is the day a queued resolution names verified

One quiet detail in the stack: TMP-0838 declares October 6, 2026 — today — “World Cerebral Palsy Day” in the City of Yonkers. The resolution’s status is “Agenda Ready,” so the earliest it could be adopted is Oct 13 — a week after the day it names. If it passes then, it lands as a commemoration after the fact.

Sept 29 housekeeping: minutes still Draft, video still “Not available” verified

The Sept 29 stated meeting’s minutes are still marked “Draft” on its Legistar page, and meeting video still reads “Not available” (both checked today, Oct 6). The agenda is Final. Same unresolved stack underneath: P.S. 9 conveyance (TMP-0813) still Tabled, noise-code amendment (TMP-0787) still “Agenda Ready”.
