Two days after the gavel: Tuesday’s council meeting is now watchable — but every docket file still reads “Referred”

The city’s TV archive now carries the Oct 13 stated meeting and Legistar’s minutes status reads Draft — yet a fresh pull finds zero council passage dates since Sept 25, with all eleven docket files still reading “Referred.” The record’s own list shows the council approved the Sept 29 minutes at Tuesday’s session. Also inside: the county’s voter cheat-sheet (register by Oct 24, early voting Oct 24–Nov 1), and Oct 27 still pairs the zoning public hearing with downtown’s Halloween bar crawl.

The record finally moves — on video

Watch it yourself: Oct 13 meeting video posted to the city’s TV archive verified

The city’s City Hall TV archive now lists the Oct 13 “Council Meeting” as a live, published event — the entry was last touched Oct 13 at 7:25 PM ET, about 25 minutes after the 7:00 PM start. The event page is up at the archive now; the same pull shows the Oct 7 Rules Committee and Oct 14 Planning Board meetings posted this month too. One wrinkle for transparency watchers: Legistar’s own video field for the meeting still reads “Not available” — the agenda system lags the TV archive, so the video is watchable before the legislative record points to it.

Minutes reach “Draft” — and the record shows Sept 29’s minutes were approved verified

The Oct 13 meeting’s Legistar page shows Minutes status: Draft. And the meeting’s own item list records a housekeeping vote with real substance: “Minutes of the Stated Meeting held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 approved by motion…” — the council signing off on the previous session’s record. A Draft stamp is not final minutes — it means the write-up is in progress.

The verdict files still wait: all eleven docket items read “Referred,” zero passage dates since Sept 25 verified

A fresh query of the legislative record this morning finds no city council matter with a passage date after Sept 25 — and on Tuesday’s agenda, every docket file still carries status “Referred”: the P.S. 9 conveyance local law; the four grant ordinances (Field Hall Foundation, state CHIPS, federal ESG, federal HOME); the $20,000 settlement resolution for the two claimants; the Yonkers Public Schools resolution; the Italian Heritage / Columbus Day declaration; the Commissioner of Deeds item; the budget amendment adding IT positions; and the resolution approving an intermunicipal agreement with the Town of Greenburgh for use of the Yonkers Police and Fire Special Operations Training Center (TMP-0859, tagged POSITIVE FISCAL IMPACT). That’s eleven files waiting. “Referred” means sent to committee — not passed. Final votes wait for a future agenda.

Oct 27 remains the council’s only date on the books: the zoning hearing verified

The council’s only listed event right now is the Oct 27 Public Hearing, 6:30 PM, City Hall — City Council Chambers, 4th Floor, agenda status Final: the general ordinance amending Chapter 43, the zoning ordinance — reclassifying and rezoning certain properties to D-MX or UR-HD districts, with matching updates to the Key Streets, Height Districts, Sidewalk Width and Districts maps (Attachments 13–16). The agenda tags it (NO FISCAL IMPACT.) (ALL COUNCILMEMBERS.) A public hearing is the comment window — if rezoning reaches your street, that’s the night to show up.

Nov 3 is coming: the county’s voter cheat-sheet

Register by Oct 24, early-vote Oct 24–Nov 1: what Westchester’s election briefing says verified

Yonkers voters are 19 days out from Election Day, Tuesday, Nov 3. The Westchester County Board of Legislators — after a bipartisan briefing with elections commissioners Tajian M. Nelson (D) and Douglas A. Colety (R) — posted the practical checklist: registration closes Saturday, Oct 24 (DMV online registrations must be done by Oct 23; eligible residents can also register and vote the same day at any early voting site on Oct 24). Early voting runs Oct 24 through Nov 1: 10 AM–6 PM on weekends; 8 AM–4 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 12 PM–8 PM Tuesday and Thursday. And any registered voter can request an early mail ballot without an excuse — ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (mail early and get a postmark, the county advises) or dropped off at the Board of Elections, any early voting site, or a polling place on Election Day. The full committee replay is online.
